This fantastic film tells the story of Irish history and culture over 250 years through the narrative of one small town in the West—Swinford, Co. Mayo—but, it's a story that resonates with the experience shared in countless towns across Ireland, as well as with the Irish diaspora around the world! Featuring rare archival footage, personal stories and moving music, the film is a powerful tribute to heritage, community and the enduring Irish spirit. Filmmaker Breege Rowley will be present for both screenings, and there is also a direct connection to Pittsburgh for the film as Nora McBurney, a member of the Swinford Diaspora & Pittsburgh native is the film's narrator.
