Miami rapper Pouya is recognized for helping popularize the dark, aggressive style often called “shadow rap” and for his independent role in the SoundCloud-era underground hip-hop scene. His catalog includes the Billboard-charting debut album Underground Underdog , the collaboration “1000 Rounds” with Ghostemane, and the $outh $ide $uicide EP with $uicideboy$. Pouya also co-founded the Buffet Boys collective with longtime collaborator Fat Nick, connecting his solo work to Miami’s independent rap community.
